Whether you are planning a holiday in Dubai, a business trip, an airport transit, or a family visit, this guide covers every visa type available to Turkish citizens, the exact 2026 fees, the documents you need, and how to apply.
Turkish citizens holding an ordinary passport must obtain a pre-arrival UAE visa before flying to Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah or any other emirate. There is no visa on arrival for ordinary Turkish passport holders. The visa must be issued and approved before you board your flight to the UAE — airlines will not accept passengers without a valid e-visa or sponsor-issued visa on the booking.
Holders of Turkish diplomatic, special or service passports are exempt from the pre-arrival visa requirement and can enter the UAE without prior application. This guide covers the standard process for ordinary passport holders, which represents the majority of Turkish travellers.
Core eligibility checklist
Note: The UAE government does not issue visas directly to individuals from Turkey. A licensed UAE sponsor or authorised agency must submit the application on your behalf through the GDRFA (Dubai) or ICP (federal) system. Emirates Visa is a UAE-licensed visa service authorised to submit applications under this framework.
The Emirates visa application is fully online — there is no embassy visit, no paperwork by post, and no need to travel to a major city to apply. Whether you are in Istanbul, Ankara, İzmir, Antalya, Bursa, Kocaeli or a smaller town, the application takes 10 minutes from your phone or laptop. Approval is delivered by email and stored against your passport in the UAE immigration system, so you only need to show your passport at the UAE airport.
Istanbul is the largest source of UAE travel from Turkey, with direct daily flights from Istanbul Airport (IST) and Sabiha Gökçen (SAW) to Dubai (DXB) and Abu Dhabi (AUH). To apply for a Dubai visa from Istanbul, you do not need to visit any office in Şişli, Levent, Beşiktaş or near the consulate. Complete the application online, upload your passport bio page and visa photo in proper size, and choose your processing speed. Standard processing takes 3–4 working days. Express delivers in 24–48 hours — useful if you are flying within the week from IST or SAW.
Travellers from Ankara apply through the same online process as Istanbul applicants — the visa is federal and not tied to the city of application. Ankara residents typically fly from Esenboğa Airport (ESB) with a connection via Istanbul, or take a direct flight on certain carriers. Submit your application at least 1–2 weeks before travel during peak periods (Eid holidays, school summer breaks, December) to avoid last-minute processing pressure. For Ankara applicants on a tight timeline, our Express service is available 7 days a week.
Antalya residents heading to Dubai for a holiday or family visit can apply for the 30-day single-entry tourist visa or the 60-day single-entry visa, depending on the length of stay. The application is identical to Istanbul or Ankara — entirely online. Direct flights from Antalya Airport (AYT) to Dubai operate on selected days; if you are connecting via Istanbul, make sure the visa is approved before your first flight, as Turkish Airlines and other carriers will check your visa status at check-in.
If you are applying from Çayırova, Gebze, İzmit or anywhere else in Kocaeli province, the nearest airport for Dubai-bound flights is Sabiha Gökçen International Airport (SAW), roughly 35–45 minutes by road. There is no need to travel into central Istanbul for the visa itself — the application is online, and once approved, your e-visa is emailed to you. Applicants from the Çayırova area regularly use our service for the 14-day, 30-day, and 60-day Emirates visa options.
Applications are accepted from anywhere in Turkey, including İzmir, Bursa, Adana, Gaziantep, Konya, Kayseri, Mersin, Eskişehir, Diyarbakır, Samsun, Şanlıurfa, Trabzon and all other provinces. The process, fees, and processing times are identical regardless of your city. As long as you hold a valid Turkish ordinary passport and meet the document requirements, your application is processed through the same UAE federal system.
All fees below include service charges. Prices shown in USD with approximate AED (UAE Dirham) and TRY (Turkish Lira) conversion.
AED and TRY amounts are approximate conversions based on prevailing exchange rates (1 USD ≈ 3.6725 AED ≈ 45.7 TRY) and are provided for reference only. The final payable amount is always charged in USD as displayed at checkout. Express processing (24–48 hours) and Super Express (3–4 hours) options carry additional charges shown at the time of application. Extension visas (30-Day Inside Country and 30-Day A2A) are available separately — see the Extensions section below.
The entire process is completed online. There is no need to visit the UAE Embassy in Ankara, the Consulate General in Istanbul, or any visa application centre. Each step is shown below in the order you will complete it.
Visit the website Emirates Visa, Select the visa that matches your trip length and purpose: 48/96-hour transit if you are connecting through the UAE, 14-day or 30-day tourist visa for a short holiday, 60-day visa for longer stays, or single vs multiple entry depending on whether you plan to re-enter.
Enter your name exactly as it appears on your Turkish passport, your date of birth, passport number, expiry date, and travel dates. Double-check spelling — name mismatches between the application and passport are the most common reason for rejection.
Upload a clear scan of your Turkish passport bio page (both edges visible, all four corners in frame) and a recent passport-size photo on a white background. Hotel booking and return flight ticket are required at the time of application — book refundable options if you have not finalised plans.
Pay securely in USD using a credit or debit card. You will receive an application reference number by email immediately after payment. Standard processing begins at this point.
Standard approval takes 3–4 working days. Express delivers in 24–48 hours; Super Express targets 3–4 hours for eligible applications. Print a copy of the approved e-visa and carry it with your passport when you fly. UAE immigration will scan your passport against the central system on arrival.
We recommend applying at least 1–2 weeks before your travel date. UAE visa processing time can take longer during peak periods (Ramadan, Eid Al-Fitr, Eid Al-Adha, December holidays, UAE National Day in early December, and the European summer rush in July–August) due to higher application volumes.
If you remain in the UAE beyond your visa validity, an overstay fine of AED 50 per day applies from Day 1 — there is no grace period under the current UAE Unified Fine System (effective 11 February 2026). The fine is calculated from the day after your visa expires and must be cleared before you can exit the UAE through any port.
Overstay fines are payable at the airport before departure, but settling them at the airport often causes long delays. We strongly recommend either exiting before your visa expires or applying for an in-country extension at least 3 days before expiry.
If you are already in the UAE on a 30-day or 60-day tourist visa and want to extend your stay, you have two options:
Both extensions are processed online. Apply for an extension at least 3–5 working days before your current visa expires to avoid overstay fines.
All visas are across all UAE Emirates. namely Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Sharjah, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah and Umm Al Quwain
